Automatically adjust the height of the rows on data entry ? I have a sheet (Sheet 1) with 200 rows on it. Data will be entered into a number of rows by the user, and this data needs to fit the fixed column width, but the row height needs to adjust to accommodate 2/3/ or 4 lines.
The problem is not the row height itself, but you can set the "Wrap text" option or "Shrink to fit" for a cell, not both at the same time, unfortunately. So the only way is to set the "Wrap text" option, then you can have multiple lines, but you have to adjust the font size for the cell (s) manually to fit the text into the cell.
I printed the 4" row height document to PDF and printed the page. Then printed cells measured 3.5". The Page Layout ruler also shows the 4" cell to be 3.75" on version 16.43 while the same file shows 4" on version 14.7.7. I also loaded the file on Open Office and printed it out. The cells measured 4".

I have cleared all formats on that cell, then formatted to Time by selecting 3/14/12 1:30 PM, copy the date and time from the other workbook and when I paste it on my workbook by doing a right click, selected paste as value and still showing as 1/0/1900 5:14:46 PM.
